i am going to miss a-will

today the raptors released gaurd alvin williams. and i have to say that i am a little bit sad that he is leaving. yes, he only played aprox 2 games in the last 2 years, but before his injury, he was a guy that i would definetly would want on my team.

he wasnt a stand out player, but he definetly played with heart. he was one of those guys who checked his ego at the door and put in his hard work out on the floor. he wasnt concerned about making the high light of the night or dropping 50 on a team, he was more concerned about ensuring that his team would come out on top. he always made the right play, and wasnt afraid to take the big shot.

there was a time when we tried to trade a-will to the celtics for kenny anderson, but i believe kenny anderson backed out at the last minute, alvin didnt have any complaints of coming back to toronto. he just threw his raptors jersey back on, and hit the floor.

the newest raptor fred jones, actually is wearing a-will's old number '20'. i have pretty good confidence in fred jones. he too is a good guy who isnt concerned about ego. i have a good feeling about him.

alvin was definetly one of my favorite raptors of all time.
