toys, toys, and more toys!
wowie. so its that time of year again folks. what time you ask? E3!!! for those of you that dont know, its the biggest damn video game expo ever! this is where the gaming industry really tries to show off. this year in particular will be a good one. its the unveiling of the new next generation consoles: ps3, xbox360 and nintendo revolution.
slowly but surely, pictures and specs of each console are leaking onto the internet for us fanboys to drool over. xbox was the first to come out, then the playstation, and we are still waiting to see what nintendo has in store for us. here are my some quick thoughts of each:
xbox 360
at first glace, i immedietly thought "PS2 rip!" (as it now can stand upright, just like the ps2) but as i read more and more about it, i began to like it more and more. its a lot smaller in size, the controller has been redesigned, and the game footage looks hot! when people find out how to mod this sexy piece of machinery, i will be all over it!
ps3
now this machine is what i was most excited to see. and i must say i was not disappointed. it looks sleek, its EFFING POWERFUL (almost as or if not more powerful then the apple G5!) and everything seems to have gone wireless. ok and game footage makes me want to 'spooge' all over the damn place. check out the trailer for the game killzone. holy sh*tballs and pee pee! the one negative points i would mention are, the use of the spiderman font on the console. how ugly is that?! someone please fire the creative head who made that descion! also the design of the ps3 controller looks pretty nasty. it looks like an early 1993 PC controller. very uggo. fire the guy that made that descion too please.
nintendo revolution
ok so nothing has been released by nintendo for their new system yet. there are a lot of fake system images floating around the net. one of them which looks like a helmet/insect type deal. its strange really. nintendo better come up with something great because latley they have been falling behind in the gaming war.
with all these new toys coming out, its going to be real real hard to hold back and wait for a price drop on these babies. i told myself i was going to wait for a price drop on the psp, and what did i do? i copp'd one on the first day. dahwell. i am almost a little afraid of how much these consoles are going to cost, with them being as powerful as todays desktop computers. the price points have yet to be released. i guess the big wig companies are leaving the scare for later. in any case, these next gen consoles are no doubt going to get some sweet sweet action!!!

The PS3 does look very sleek and cool. Check out http://home.btconnect.com/hgi/ps3/s-playstation-3.html. But the console design seems a bit odd with the included curvature on both sides. The color rocks to!!! This one I’m going to buy from Pacific Mall :)
